HOW TO STORE
Leftover waffles can be stored in the refrigerator or freezer. I like to make extra to keep in the fridge for a quick breakfast for my kids. Make an extra batch and store in the fridge or freezer, your family will love it and it will taste as fresh and delicious.
Refrigerator: Waffles can be stored in the refrigerator for a few days, 3 days. Let it cool, place in a single layer in an airtight bag and store.
Freezer: To freeze, after cooling, place in a single layer in an airtight freezer bag. To avoid your waffles sticking together, it is important they are in a single layer or separated by wax paper.
HOW TO REHEAT
I like to reheat waffles in the microwave but you can reheat using a toaster, oven, or microwave.
Microwave: Place frozen waffles on a plate and microwave for 20- 30 seconds or until hot.
Oven: Arrange in a single layer on a baking sheet covered in aluminum foil, place in a preheated oven at 350F for 10-12 minutes or until hot.
Toaster: Place the waffles in the toaster and heat until hot.
TIPS
- For extra crispness, place waffles in a pre-heated oven or toaster for a few minutes.
- Brush olive oil on your waffle iron before putting the batter, this will ensure that the waffles do not stick to the iron.
- I like to leave my waffles for an extra minute after the ready light comes.
- You can substitute the olive oil for melted almond butter.
