Beef and Mushroom Stir Fry Recipe
This flavorful, tender beef and mushroom stir fry in savory brown sauce is ready in 15minutes. This recipe is a healthy alternative to takeout because it uses low sodium soy sauce. If you love Chinese food, this is a must-try recipe for you. It is quick, easy, and delicious and all you need are a few ingredients that are available in your pantry or easy to get at the grocery store.
INGREDIENTS

Beef: sliced beef. If you are cutting the meat at home, make sure to cut across the grain.
Mushrooms: cut the mushroom into slices
Paprika(Optional): This gives the stir fry a kick
Black Pepper
Corn Starch:
Soy Sauce: I mix low sodium soy sauce and dark soy sauce
Oyster Sauce
Broth: Beef broth
Sesame oil: This gives your stir fry a nice taste and smell
Olive Oil: I mix the sesame oil with Olive oil
Green onions: Cut into 1-inch size
Garlic: Minced garlic
Onions: chopped onions
Mixed Bell peppers: green, yellow, orange, and red peppers cut into long slices.

How to Tenderize your Beef for Stir Fry
Although this step is optional, if you want to achieve melt in the mouth, tender soft meat that is not chewy, do not skip this step. In a bowl, combine the beef and half a tablespoon of baking soda. Set aside for 30 minutes. Rinse off with water and pat dry. This step makes your meat tender and soft.
How to Make Beef and Mushroom Stir Fry
Combine the beef, 2 spoons of soy sauce, black pepper, and paprika and set aside for 15 minutes. Drain the soy sauce after 15 minutes.
In another bowl, combine the beef broth, corn starch, soy sauce.
Put a wok on high heat until it is very hot.
Add oil, garlic, onions, and beef and stir fry the meat until it is no longer pink. Transfer meat to a bowl and set aside.
Put the wok back on high heat, when hot add oil, remaining garlic and onions and the mixed peppers and stir fry.
Add the mushrooms and stir fry.
Add the beef and its juices to the stir fry and add the green onions and beef broth mixture (stir the beef broth mixture before adding).
Let the sauce thicken.
Serve over white rice, potatoes, or noodles.

Ingredients
- 1 pound beef
- 2 cups sliced mushrooms
- 1 tablespoon corn starch
- ¼ tablespoon black pepper
- ¼ tablespoon paprika
- 4 Tablespoon Soy sauce I mix low sodium soy sauce and dark soy sauce
- ½ Tablespoon Oyster sauce
- ½ cup Beef broth
- 1 tablespoon sesame oil
- 2 tablespoon Olive oil mix the sesame oil and olive together
- 4 green onions
- 1 cup chopped onions
- ½ tablespoon garlic
- ½ Tablesppon baking soda(optional) To tenderize the meat
Instructions
- Combine beef, 2 spoons of soy sauce, black pepper & paprika. set aside for 15 mins and drain
- In another bowl, combine beef broth, corn starch, remaining soy sauce, and oyster sauce
- Put a Wok on high heat until very hot, add half of the oil, garlic, onions and stir fry beef for 3-4 minutes until no longer pink. Set aside.
- Put the empty wok back on high heat, add the remaining oil, garlic, onions, and mixed peppers, add the mushroom and stir fry for another 4 -5 minutes.
- Add the beef with its juices, the green onions, and beef broth mixture to the stir fry.
- Let the sauce thicken for about 3 -5 minutes and Enjoy with white rice or noodles.
