Ingredients for bbq rub (spicy bbq rub)

Salt
Salt is the base of your rub. It draws moisture from inside of your meat to the outside. It adds flavor.
Black pepper
Black pepper is a versatile spice that is rich in anti oxidants and has anti-inflammatory properties.
Paprika
You can use smoked paprika or paprika. I like any of the two in my bbq rub. It gives a nice spicy kick to my rub.
Brown sugar
Brown sugar gives a balance to the dry rub mix. It is important to follow the measurements in the recipe card to avoid using too much.
Bouillon powder
Bouillon powder gives extra flavor to this mix. You can use chicken or beef bouillon powder. You can omit this ingredient if you are not a fan of bouillon powder.
