How to make your hair soft and shiny

To achieve hair that is soft, shiny, and manageable, consistency, and dedication to a good hair regime incorporating these treatments is important.

These hair treatments moisturize, conditions, and improve the overall health of your hair. The result is soft, easy to manage, without split ends, and little shedding.

Healthy hair starts from within. A healthy diet helps with healthy hair. Drinking water helps keep hair hydrated and moisturized. These treatments are guaranteed to help grow your hair and make it lustrous.

Deep Condition

Deep conditioning is the act of applying conditioner products to your hair to add moisture and restore oils. This is important because it prevents hair breakage, split ends, helps elasticity, makes your hair soft, shiny, and strengthens your hair. Read more about the benefits and how to deep condition your hair and the best products here.

If you want your coils to be well moisturized and healthy, you need to deep condition your hair often.

Oil Treatment for Natural Hair

Hot oil treatment is one of the most effective ways to combat dry, dull-looking hair. When the oil is warmed and applied to the hair, it penetrates, conditions the strands of the hair. I like to use my DIY hair growth oil for hot oil treatment. This oil contains my favorite oils and essential oils. Heat up the oil in a small microwaveable oil for a few seconds on dip the bottle in hot water to warm it up, apply to freshly washed hair, and massage into the scalp. Cover the hair with a shower cap or use a plastic wrap around your hair and leave on for 15-25minutes. Rinse out and style your hair.

Bentonite clay on natural hair

Bentonite clay is an absorbent clay that does magic on natural hair. This clay will make your curls pop! Bentonite clay has microbial properties that help prevent dry scalp and dandruff. My favorite brand of bentonite clay is the Aztec clay. To use this treatment, mix the powder with Apple Cider Vinegar and add your hair oil mix. Use a plastic bowl and spoon for the clay. Try your best to avoid using metal. The mixture should have the consistency of greek yogurt, apply to damp hair, and let it sit for twenty to thirty minutes. What is leftover can be applied to face. It is a wonderful face mask. Rinse off and style your hair.

Henna Treatment for hair

This natural plant, reddish-orange hair dye has amazing conditioning properties on natural hair. It makes hair thicker, stronger and cleanses the scalp. Pure henna powder makes your hair healthy and shiny.

I add lemon juice to my henna and my oil mix. The consistency should be just thick enough to apply and not too runny. Coat damp hair or freshly washed hair with the mixture and let it sit for thirty to forty-five minutes.

I wrap my hair with plastic wrap to minimize the dripping and the mess from the henna. It can be pretty messy, ensure you wear gloves when applying the henna. Rinse off the henna and condition your hair. Style your hair as usual.

Scalp Massage for Hair growth

Regular scalp massage grows hair by increasing the circulation in the scalp. Incorporating daily scalp massage to your routine will facilitate faster hair growth. Scalp massage can be done with and without oils and it involves rubbing fingertips gently in circular motions on the scalp for 5 minutes or more. You can massage your scalp every day or as often as you like to stimulate your scalp and increase the overall health of your hair.

These hair treatments will aid hair growth by promoting healthy hair. The secret to maintaining healthy hair that is soft, manageable, and not dry is consistency and commitment to hair routines and using these treatments.

Healthy hair habits will produce healthy hair. Adding these treatments to your haircare will produce amazing results.

Drink your water, eat your vegetables, do not forget to use a leave-in conditioner every day, seal your ends, and watch your hair grow!

TIPS

  • Avoid using a metal spoon when mixing your clay or henna. Use a plastic bowl and spatula.
  • Minimize the use of heat styling products.
  • Do treatment on damp or freshly washed hair, this will allow for easy spread and absorption of the treatment.
  • Wrap a plastic wrap around the hair to minimize drippings when doing treatments.
  • Henna does not lighten hair but will give an orange-reddish tone to your hair. It will cover your grey completely with the color.
  • You do not have to incorporate all these treatments into your hair care routines, add them gradually until you are comfortable with the regime you have.
  • Use a hooded dryer with the treatments for better results.
